Lady Gaga announced a new album titled "Harlequin", a companion album to the film "Joker: Folie à Deux", in which she stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix.
"Harlequin" will be released on September 27, according to Gaga's Instagram post, with 13 tracks including "Good Morning", "World on a String", and "The Joker".
The album is a companion to the film "Joker: Folie à Deux", in which Gaga stars as Lee Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn.
Gaga had been teasing the announcement with cryptic messages on Instagram, including audio clips from new songs.
Gaga has previously earned critical acclaim for songs she's written for movies, including "Shallow" from "A Star is Born", for which she won an Oscar.
"Harlequin" appears to be separate from Gaga's upcoming seventh studio album, which she's also been working on and teasing on social media.
Gaga announced that the first single from her new studio album will be released in October, with the album being the followup to 2020's "Chromatica".
The cast of "Joker: Folie à Deux" includes Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, and Ken Leung, among others.
Gaga stars as Lee Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn, in the film, which is the long-awaited sequel to the 2019 "Joker" movie.
